i agree it'd make great sense to integrate flickr upload in digikam. however, the flickr plugin at the moment is much like an indepedent app simply launching from a digikam's menu, nothing more exciting but much less usable than kflickr.
the problem i think for the kipi flickr plugin is not seeking cooperation with other expertise in flickr upload, but a deservedly well integration with digikam. |

now a very reliable flickr uploader with a clean ui! thank you so much for the constant hard work.
a few minor issues after trying out the newest 0.4:
1. rpm install: has the following errors, while the source compilation went elegantly.
> sudo rpm -ivh kflickr-0.4-2.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libaudio.so.2 is needed by kflickr-0.4-2.i386
libexpat.so.1 is needed by kflickr-0.4-2.i386
2. it seems the available bandwidth for upload is updated only when kflickr starts up. a little minor thoughts here: 1) show the estimated available bandwidth after uploading the current queue besides the current bandwidth in the statusbar. this feature might be very considerate for users to efficiently manage their upload based on the limited resources. for one example, when the upload quota for this month is near the limit, i may need to check if the current batch of upload is appropriate, rather than to be astonished of upload failures in the middle. 2) count down the current bandwidth after each successful upload ;-)

uploading via proxy is perfectly working. thank you so much for the adorable work.
i also have some suggestions:
1. retry after failure: i found it's a common problem so far for all tools i've ever tried that a batch upload tends to have intermittent failures. a lot posts in flickr forum also posed this problem. for kflickr, i experienced this error msg "... invalid auth token." after that, the upload seems to stop cause the progressbar never changes. i guess this might result from flickr server or network problems. so despite of failures, retry with an specifiable retry limit will be very useful.
2. a "upload status" column in the queue list: this is a consequent issue of the first one. it's very frustrating when uploading failures happened, because it's very hard for you to identify which were uploaded and which were not. if kflickr marked the status for the entry processed, it will be very helpful for user to re-upload whatever failed later. |

i'd like to know if i could:
1. extend the white frame of nice tabs to two vertical sides of the console. a window without edge looks not so good, especially when there are apps under it.
2. how to skin the titlebar? it looks too inconsistent with the tab. i'd like either to make it similar to the tab or remove the titlebar by moving those buttons to the tab bar.
thanks for the great app. i'll always use it even if it stays this way. |

i guess there is no proxy support yet for this applet. so i am not able to test the unicode for you. and for the usability, blogid and default server settings for blogger for example should be implemented priorly |

excited to see this tool. but it looks like no http proxy support yet 'cause i got a http error msg when try to do authorization. just can't wait to try it out >. |
