Very nice. But you should not be posting that sort of thing on this site. People who visit this site want to see KDE stuff. Try posting it on art.gnome.org

Blown out of control
Sep 30 2002  on news alive and angry

Look, sure Red Hat has done some bad things. But look at it this way, it is trying to reach other users, other than people like you and me. I am not a newbie to Linux, I love KDE the way it is. Even though RH might make some mistakes in the KDE code I think in the end they will learn. Most companies do learn from their mistakes, and you have to admit it, RH has been a very big driving force in Linux.

They are just trying to make sure Linux can reach all users, and I also think its about time for GNOME people and KDE people to start thinking along the same lines. If we don't integrate everything its going to fragment, look at the camps that have already started to form. You have KDE fans and you have GNOME fans. Personally I think GNOME sux but friends of mine will disagree. Most common users I have spoken too think both GNOME and KDE are too difficult because they are so different from each other, at least this way users will be able to learn how to use both. And it might be a valuable lesson to all Linux developers to make everything work together. Damn, I mean we as the community have produced the fastest growing operating system ever made. I mean Linux is growing at a more rapid rate everyday. We can choose to keep it a "Geek OS" or we can make it simple enough for the "MS users".

Like I said give RH some time and they will sort out their problems. At least it is still free unlike the new unholy alliance "United Linux" who want to charge for free software, which I think is even worse.

We must not let Linux become another fallen Unix and must unify everything to work with eachother. In that way we can reach far more than we are reaching at the moment.
