| Very nice applet! Dec 16 2010 on content KeyLeds Plasmoid | Very nice applet! A suggestion: on slim horizontal panels CAPS LOCK and NUM LOCK should be shown side by side. Currently there are painted on top of each other here. Not really readable. Also my keyboard has a CAPS LOCK indicator and is lacking only a NUM LOCK indicator. So a config option to select which modifiers to show would be nice, to save some space in the panel. |

I don't think a global option is a solution here. Indeed in many cases the text inside () is just an addition and not needed to lookup the lyrics. OTHO I found quite a few cases where the lyrics.wikia.com URL needs the (). Actually I even have albums, where for some songs the () needs to be added to the URL but not for others...
The best would be a smarter way to search on wikia.lyrics.com and then narrow down the actual URL. But I guess this is not possible?
But how about first trying an URL with (), if that fails try again without ()? If that also fails, give up. |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: Special characters in tags Feb 23 2010 on content Ultimate Lyrics | Another problem with "?". Example, same artist and album as above, title "Asleep Or Awake?".
UL tries to fetch:
amarok: SCRIPT "Ultimate Lyrics" : "lyrics.wikia.com|http://lyrics.wikia.com/Apoptygma_Berzerk:Asleep_Or_Awake?"
However the proper URL would be:
http://lyrics.wikia.com/Apoptygma_Berzerk:Asleep_Or_Awake%3F
So the "?" needs to be encoded (strangly the "/" above doesn't need to). |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Special characters in tags Feb 23 2010 on content Ultimate Lyrics | I discovered two problems with special characters in tags, that is "/" and "()" (Not sure about other tags, but it's a problem in track title at least).
The examples are:
Artist: Apoptygma Berzerk
Album: Rocket Science
Title: "Apollo (Live On Your TV)"
UL tries to fetch:
amarok: SCRIPT "Ultimate Lyrics" : "lyrics.wikia.com|http://lyrics.wikia.com/Apoptygma_Berzerk:Apollo"
While the correct URL would be:
http://lyrics.wikia.com/Apoptygma_Berzerk:Apollo_(Live_On_Your_TV)
The other example is title "Pitch Black / Heat Death". UL tries to fetch:
amarok: SCRIPT "Ultimate Lyrics" : "lyrics.wikia.com|http://lyrics.wikia.com/Apoptygma_Berzerk:Pitch_Black_Heat_Death"
While the correct URL would be:
http://lyrics.wikia.com/Apoptygma_Berzerk:Pitch_Black/Heat_Death
I'm using UL 1.85 and Amarok "Version 2.2-GIT", (Build Date: Nov 28 2009). |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: Re: Problem with &? Nov 25 2009 on content Ultimate Lyrics | Hmm, it still doesn't seem to work...
First I think you forgot to bump the version number in script.spec, it's still 1.8.
Other than that it sits there forever spinning "Lyrics are being fetched.". For testing purpose I set the sites to only lyrics.wikia.com.
Something else I noticed: Manually replacing the "&" with "and" in the artist tag of the song ("Angels & Airwaves" - "Distraction") makes it work. Shouldn't however the corresponding configuration setting have the same effect? |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: Problem with &? Nov 24 2009 on content Ultimate Lyrics | Erm, what I wanted to say is: I don't get anylyrics for such tracks. Just "There were no lyrics found for this track". |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Problem with &? Nov 24 2009 on content Ultimate Lyrics | It seems the script has problems with fetching lyrics that contain an "&". Two examples are: "Angels & Airwaves - The War" or "Metallica - Broken, Beat & Scarred"
http://lyrics.wikia.com/Angels_&_Airwaves:The_War
http://lyrics.wikia.com/Metallica:Broken,_Beat_&_Scarred
It doesn't matter if I tick replace "&" with "and". |
