and lets also add that gimp "has been on it's way" for last five years, and no progress. no progress.
having a bunch of "nice" perl-written effects that just "do something" is not enough for being good graphics program.
buy yourself a mac & photoshop and get a clue. |

I don't really care what YOU want.
It's just a fact that 90% of Linux users have Windows too on their computers, just because of the games. And what comes for game consoles: they suck. Not a single good game. All gameconsole games are car, arcade or such games. No RPG or strategy games at all.
And also a note:
I have WindowsXP too, and I don't use Linux because I hate microsoft, I use Linux because I love UNIX-systems. One big difference between me and zealots... |

i also would like to see a REAL open source alternative for photoshop. no, gimp is not. gimp is just a toy compared to photoshop. anyone working with professonial graphics will agree. tho, all those run photoshop on mac os X, which is unix-based and therefore ok to use too ;)
but most importantly, games are missing. people want games. so they just can throw CD in and it works without recompiling kernel, hacking winex, editing this and that.... |

Like he said, you have to edit Makefile.am to reflect the fact that Gentoo keeps qt in /usr/qt/3/, then run autoconf, automake, configure and away... |
