What part is responsible for the icons description background effect, this wiped like? It comes with oxygen-transparent theme or what? It can be seen in blue sora too. |

Hi,
I use it on Fedora 19/20 KDE with no problems. Just now for testing I started Mint 15 KDE (so I'm writing from it), and I unlocked widgets then Add widgets -> Get new widgets -> Download New Plasma Widgets, searched for it, press install. Then it just is in the plasmoid list.
Well, in here it goes into ~/.kde/share/apps/plasma/plasmoids, I would first check if it's there after installation. |

Hi suther,
I don't really work on this :) It's just a temporary prosthesis.
In my case the Fn+ are properly received, just the action executed on them is invalid.

Thank you for the script! It can be nicely added to the device notifier, go to:
'Device Notifier Settings -> Device Actions -> Add'
and set:
Title e.g.: 'Scan with ClamAV'
Command: /home/$USER/.kde/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus/ClamScan/ClamScan.sh en %f
Icon e.g.: System icons -> Status -> security-medium
In the 'Device must match the following parameters for this action:' tree:
For top tree entry set:
Parameter type: Content Conjunction
For 1st subentry set:
Parameter type: Property Match
Device type: Storage Volume
Value name: Ignored
Equals: false
For 2nd subentry set:
Parameter type: Property Match
Device type: Storage Volume
Value name: Usage
Equals: FileSystem
The file will be created in:
/home/$USER/.kde/share/apps/solid/actions/<name>.desktop

What about having the meter in a form of a colored bar that would fit in this thin space of a slider row, behind the knob?

The classic style KDE4 start menu is colored with the 'window background' color.
Is this coded permanently or is it possible to assign different independent background color? The idea is to color it along with the panel.
