The background of the image with all the green is really cool. I really like the idea and the effects used. To offer a bit of constructive critism, the text is extreamly hard to read. Also the red in the background (lower right corner) dosn't quite fit the color scheme. |

you know, I didn't even realize they were having sex. Regardless of how disgusting the slug's are the photo is really cool. I've never seen a slug colored in such a vibrant yellow before. It's also kind of neat that they are in almost a pieces like formation. What country was the photo taken in? Also your camera must be very nice as the slugs are beautifully captured in all their slimey detail! |

Lately I've seen so many post's of people who are uploading their favorite wallpapers under GPL onto the website and not giving any credit where it is due. Leaving many user's to assume that the poster actually did the work. Also things like kdm themes, splashs, etc.. containing image's not made by the user again, without giving credit to original designer. As a artist myself I know how cheated I would feel if someone did this to me without giving credit or getting my permission. Kde-look.org is a place for posting original works or modifying confirmed GPL work and giving proper credit right? I think that this is very unclear to many of the people that frequent the site. Anyone else think it should be made more of a point in the add content system? |

It's nice but theres some big problems. First problem is that the image is taken from the videogame Final Fantasy 9 and no credit is given for this. If you don't give credit, people will assume you did it. Since you didn't put your time and heart into the image you need to give some credit.
Even worse, the image is a screenshot made by IGN (www.ign.com) You can see it on (http://media.psx.ign.com/media/012/012190/img_1242341.html)
If a ad comes up in the link, you need to click continue above it to see image.
Note the logo here. It's even worse you've put your own image over top the IGN logo!

My question is this. When I create a piece of art for use as a wallpaper, splash screen, kdm theme, etc..and post it on here under GPL lisense what rights do I retain? Am I essentialy electronically signing away my rights to the image? I know that with GPL the author is always given credit for the work, and credit when versions of it modified by others are posted. But does a copywrite come in to play? Or there is no copywrite? Not to stop others from changing it as long as credit is given, but to protect it as being claimed someone elses work, or being sold for profit? Also I see other lisense choices availible on here like, LGPL,Artistic 2.0,QPL,Proprietary,etc.. I am espcially curious what the Artistic 2.0 is? Any help would be appreciated, I'm not looking for giant confusing descriptions..just brief summarys |

very nice. You know you can not define any form of nudity as porn. A beautiful professionaly done piece depicting a naked woman is just as much art as anything else. Come on people its not like this is hardcore, do you really find the female form offensive? Anyway I thought I might add that wikipedia says pron is:
