Yes , At last I've done it with build-deb-kde4.sh
in source dir freshly taken from svn.
(In Kubuntu8.10 amd64).
The problem was, it has tried to find the kde3 and qt3 dependencies, which I have not.
after removing them from deb/control manually,
script runs flawlessly, only warning it could not sign.
That means, there could be some problem in
deb/control (with the metavars?) |

Sorry, I've found it, it is in INSTALL file, but not on the homepage site.
build-deb not working with svn version, but checkinstall works cleanly. |

How could I build KDE4 version of kid3?
It says:
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0 and < 4.0) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation!

Phonon is part of Qt since 4.4, so meybe this version should be listed as dependency. |

well, the output means, that in file
stardict.cpp , in line 313,
you are trying to get value of first element in vector offsets, but the vector is empty. |
