Is there a way to keep the video from bobbing up and down when the toolbar appears/disappears in fullscreen mode?

oops, that wasn't quite what I'd intended. Sorry.

The missing parts:

Get an uncrippled xine on this page and follow the instructions on how to install it. You could also use Yast to install the packages as it will take care of necessary dependencies for you (if you do it by hand you'll have to uninstall SuSE's xine-ui and xine-lib before you install the alternative versions)

http://cambuca.ldhs.cetuc.puc-rio.br/xine/

I tried it on 9.3 a few weeks ago and it worked then.
Then set up amarok to use the xine engine (I don't remember whether SuSE put the engines in a different package, you might have to install something like "amarok-xine" or "amarok-engines", search in yast for amarok).

Unfortunatly Kaffeine didn't play DVDs or mp3s after installing this xine version, it seems to be statically compiled. So if you want Kaffeine to work too, you're gonna have to find fixed packages for SuSE 9.3

some ideas
Apr 5 2005  on content KBookmarkNG

IMHO it *has* to be possible to select more than one topic at once to get the bookmarks that are in both topics (i.e. in computer there's everything related to computers, in games there's everything related to games such as board games, computer games, video games etc, if I select both I see all bookmarks concerning computer games). You can do something like that by creating subtopics for every conceivable combination but that more or less negates the main reason for using a topic based instead of folder based bookmarks system.

There's no problem if this replaces the old system in KDE4 as long as there is a compatibility mode. This system is perfectly capable of emulating the old bookmarks system =)

Lots and lots of small things (you can't open a bookmark by double clicking on it, manipulating more than one at once is a chore, the search resets if you edit/manipulate one of the results, lack of columns (last visited, last changed, added, notes, etc), dynamic lists (every bookmark added in the last 4 weeks, etc), the new topic button in the bookmark properties doesn't create anything (at least if there's no parent topic), there should be a way that the programs remembers the position in a list when switching between lists and many more). In other words, it would be nice to get another release =)

It's not the solution, but for waiting before a sub-folder architecture.

That sounds like it would work but it would be cool if there was a group-together-lite. So that you could connect a number of items and manipulate them at once (e.g. for drag&drop or deleting them)
It should be relatively easy to implement a shortcut (strg+g or something, don't know what's unused) so that when you press it the selected items are moved next to each other and appear as one entry (still strictly seperated on the code level, i.e. you still have one link, one text and one image entry but they look like one entry (perhaps a frame around the items so when you click on the item you select that item only but when you click on the grouped item outside the frame you select all of them)

I'm impressed by the fast reply btw.

basket rocks =)

One feature I'd like to see are "item-folders" i.e. a way to group more than one item into a new one.

For example a rtf-list containing pictures or links, a picture with a caption, a link with some notes, a number of files grouped together etc (yes you can do that with the tooltip annotations I'd prefer the solution above because it's more flexible)

Another problem is that if you use single-click instead of double-click the focus changes even while using the context menu

Example: 3 items, you want to delete the first one, you right-click on it choose delete, confirm but the first is still there and the second is missing. The reason is, that I left the context menu for one second while choosing delete the focus changed to the second item and the delete removed that.

Great tool apart from that I've been searching something like this for years now =)
