... which doesn't help very much if "make" fails in creating the actual icons, i.e. png's... :-(

hi,
thx for the reply.
maybe i wasn't prescise enough...
make ran w/o complaints and created directories like green_cursors, blue_cursors etc. these dirs contain files like base_arrow_down, hand etc., which i expect to be icons.
but these file have _no_ extension like .png and if i open them with xv or any other graphic viewer, i get a lot of rubbish but no icons...
any help is appreciated

hi,
please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but...
i downloaded the tarball, unpacked it. make ran smoothly and claimed that everything had been installed properly.
however, my /home/.icons was empty, and all dirs containing the icons did contain files, but neither ending with .png nor any graphics; at least, xv wasn't able to display the icons.
any suggestions?

no way! i'll upgrade to suse 9.1 as soon as i've finished writing up my thesis, which will be in 2-3 months, but 'til then, i won't fiddle with my system ;-)
anyway, i'll have kde 3.2.x and can also install the appropriate baghira windeco :-)

hi folks,
i tried to compile the latest version on my linux box (suse 9.0, kde 3.1.4). unfortunately, compilation stops with the error given below... (./configure --prefix ran smoothly) :-(
any ideas?
besides... is the rpm really suited for kde 3.x? cause the filename is baghira-0.3p-1.SuSE.KDE32x.i586.rpm...

yep.
as far as i recall the tarball not only contains the icons, but also a theme/style and other things...
just untar the tarball, then you'll find the icons-dir...

hi,
i have 2 questions concerning baghira.
1) i have installed the suse rpm, and the control center features a baghira entry. but changes don't seem to work, eg menues only cast shadows if this option is enabled in kde... any hints on that?
2) how do i change the frame of a window and the main panel bar? i would like to have something like brushed metal or at least something like in the screenshot (eg the window bar with kppp in it). the ultimate thing would be a complete theme, or a link to an existing theme for kde 3.1(.4)
