This sounds great. I look forward to seeing your patch in the next release of gnome. It's such a simple change, but I think it will greatly increase the useability of the mouse properties dialog. Gnome seems to get confused by the odd cursor sizes and puts them in the icon theme list. Is there anything in the theme file that differentiates icon themes from mouse cursor themes? I think another way to clean up the mouse cursor dialog would be to have each theme listed only once, then a dropdown or something where you could pick from the available sizes for that theme. |

I agree, this would be much more useful as an add-on to the current tree menu. It seems like if you crammed your whole menu to this thing, it would be pretty much akin to opening every applicaiton you have on your computer and trying to alt-tab between them. If you introduced sub-menus into the circle menu, then you'd essentially have the same thing that we've got now, except in a circle instead of a line. It would be nice to have a few things in it that you use a lot though. However, one of these things should not be a command to shut down your computer, since that's sort of a special thing you only do once in a while. There's no reason to have super fast access to logging out or turning off your computer. |

Not all of the different styles of cursors show up in the gnome mouse setting on fedora core 5. Only the small and large versions show up, but the regular and huge sized do not. Any ideas on how to fix this? |
