I assume you're Nikolaj. I posted a reply to your blog explaining what I meant to say in greater detail. I'm afraid I got picked on for not being clearer in what I meant to say. I'm sincerely sorry for the confusion! As I said there, stick to your guns. Everything will turn out fine. For what it's worth, I support you. :)

Kaffeine?
Dec 11 2008  on content A Media Player for KDE4

This is perfect for Kaffeine! Amarok already has chosen a look and at best changes now are going to be evolutionary rather than revolutionary.

But there is still time for Kaffeine. Haven't heard a peep from those folks on the planets. If the Kaffeine UI looked anything like this, it'd be a killer media player and dragon player can go back to being a preview program...

deb, please!

Curse my noobness! I can't seem to get the source package to install. Could you upload a deb, please? Kubuntu Feisty, if you need to know the distro...

Excellent job!
Sep 26 2007  on content Kid3

Thank you so much for this application. I use Amarok full time and this application is indispensable.

My one big suggestion, nay pleading request is to have Kid3 somehow integrated into Amarok. I'm not saying the stand-alone application should be ditched. Just that if there could be some KParts type approach to have Kid3 handle the tagging of songs from within Amarok, it would be amazing. I'll suggest this to the Amarok dev's too.

Thanks again, and keep up the good work!

Re: album art
Sep 26 2007  on content Kid3

It's already there! It's just not shown prominently. Select the song and click the add button near the ID3 tag frames section. The first choice of frames to add for mp3 songs is APIC which is the album art. Click to add it, choose Import and select the picture. When done, you should see an APIC frame in addition to the other frames like TPE1 (artist) etc. The album art is embedded in the file and will be displayed on music players like Amarok etc.

Enjoy!

Just download the tar.bz2 file to, say, your home directory. In Amarok, click Settings. In the Appearance tab, look for the button that says [Install New Style]. Pick the file and click OK. You can now select the new style in the drop down menu.

Nice!
Sep 15 2007  on content NuoveXT-Amarok

Looks really chic, but two cribs:

- the score rating is VERY hard to tell. Perhaps you could make the score bar color a bit darker...

- It would also be nice if the album and its songs are separated by a line or something.

What does it do?
Sep 5 2007  on content AlbumGain

Do I understand this correctly? This script sets a different volume for different albums in your collection? Perhaps you should explain the application of this script in a better way...

Cool.
Sep 2 2007  on content kfceu

Just a couple of days ago, I was lamenting the fact that kfceu didn't exist (http://karper.wordpress.com/2007/08/30/nes-games-forever/). Didn't know about your app. Will give it a try!

I'm surprised it's not in the Kubuntu repositories...
