2.1. Who says Ubuntu developers have to compile packages for say BSD or any other else?

2.3. If you really really like and want so badly some piece of OSS, you are free to compile it yourself for _any_ platform it is designed for and suits your needs.
2.4. If certain OSS is not available precompiled for your system of choice, definitely does not mean that you have to bark against Ubuntu dev's for that. They are doing _their_ job very well and what you want is so not their job's object!
2.4.1. Do I need to mention the difference between GPL and BSD License?
So, what are you? Just another heater? We wanted more than Windows - we got it. We wanted more just some plain Linux distribution - here you go. There is Ubuntu and most certainly there are many many others which shine with their own glow. It is you call. So put yourself together and do what you've got to do. Just remember with that whining you are not even getting closer! |
