This movie is really for the action flick. It is much like the Sonny Chiba movies back in the 70's (those that got the X rating for violence alone e.g. StreetFighter)
It was evident that Quentin Terantino was going for that affect again in this movie. He is really trying to resurrect the genre.

I praise him for making a statement. What you guys bash him for is that he posts what he believes. But We see YOUR religion everyday in TV, Radio, and of course the Internet. So it is nice for a change to see something clean on this site. |

True, that was the one thing that I didn't like about the movie was the crazy spraying of the blood. But I was sold on the action. |

I loved it because it was a great mixture of all my favorite kung fu movies. Sonny Chiba, Shaw Scope, Wire-Fu. I believe finally an American Director has successfully crossed the Kung Fu genre over to American Soil. BOUT TIME!
However, I understand where you are coming from, it is not a movie for the faint of heart. You really have to love Martial Art films to enjoy this one. |
