| Re: customize. Aug 28 2005 on content Simple UI for KGet | Did you read the description? Correct me if I'm wrong but I understood that that's exactly what he did, customized the toolbar and proposed this kind of configuration to be the default. And I have to say I like it. These kind of tweaks here and there make the overall clutter of KDE better and better. |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: Re: Possible bug Nov 15 2004 on content KLogWatch | I tried running from command line with -d option as you suggested, looks like program is still running and sort of monitoring the logfile, ie. "." gets printed to stdout every second (poll interval set to one second). However, events do not get shown after a certain period. There's no errors or anything printed. Ie. I can ping the host and ping events do get logged in logfile, but there's no feedback of any kind in klogwatch, seems it simply won't recognise the event. |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Possible bug Nov 13 2004 on content KLogWatch | Hi, I just installed KlogWatch on my Gentoo today. Compile & Install went fine and program works ok when I start it, however, after a while (can't tell exactly how long) it seems to stop monitoring. When first started, rejected packets get shown correctly, but then suddenly there's nothing. After restart events get detected properly again. Any ideas what might cause that?
And one suggestion: How about adding possibility to configure which events should trigger popup (or system tray) alarm? I don't really care about those gazillions of windows network messages that tend to be blocked :) Then again I guess I could just not log them but would be a nice addition anyway. Thanks for nice piece of software! |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | About playlist Nov 13 2004 on content Kaffeine Player | While playlist is nice addition (for e.g. multipart avi's), I think video clips should not be added to playlist by default when viewing them. For example I download clip, watch it and remove it from disk it's currently automatically added to playlist. Next time when I watch different video and it ends the already removed clip is still on the list and I get error message telling me it could not be found when Kaffeine tried to play next clip in playlist.
Would be better in my opinion if user could add clips to playlist if he wishes to do so but they would not be added automatically.
Other than that, rc2 is great :) |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Thank you! Nov 5 2004 on content Kaffeine Player | I was waiting for version where configuration is properly restored. Although after a while I kinda aleady got used to the new default interface :) |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: Toolbars Oct 7 2004 on content Kaffeine Player | Additional info: Toolbar configuration is saved to ~/.kde/share/config/kaffeinerc as it should, for example:
[Main Window Toolbar controlsToolBar]
IconText=IconOnly
Index=0
Offset=55
Position=Bottom
[Main Window Toolbar mainToolBar]
Hidden=true
Index=1
(among others)
It looks like that config it just not read or respected next time when loading application. |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Toolbars Oct 7 2004 on content Kaffeine Player | Finally got this new version tested.
For those who liked the old interface better, like me, it's possible to configure the toolbars for your liking. However looks like the toolbar positions are not saved when exiting the program. I turned off all but control toolbar and moved control toolbar to the bottom, when I exit program and reopen, all toolbars are turned on again and moved back to the top :( |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: Awful! Oct 4 2004 on content Kaffeine Player | I too really liked the previous UI. I haven't tried the new one yet though, maybe it is configurable enough to get it look the way I like it.. will test later today. I have to agree, not all programs need to look like each other :) |
