djvu
Nov 10 2006  on content Kscan2pdf

Take a look at djvu file format, which is open source and superior to pdf embedded tifs regarding scanned material. Maybe you want to support this one too. I wrote a script that uses scanimage and creates multiple pages in pdf, djvu or raw images. If you want it I can mail it to you...

Not must. But believe me, I am using djvu a lot and can tell you that it has usually half the size of a PDF with embedded TIFF in medium/low quality black and white which is exactly what fax images are. Plus it is completely free/gpl. You can ignore other djvu-formats like those with higher color depth. Actually djvu is one format with 3 different compression algorithms, each for another situation.

you could consider also to support djvu files, since djvu is very good for fax images, even better than tif in most cases. You could probably take some code from the existing qt viewer program. I forgot its name...

At least you can merge many tif files before you convert them to djvu. For more information see http://www.djvuzone.org/wid/

Shouldn't it rather be displayed under "compress" than "actions". This would provide a clean and ark compatible way and doesn't look odd.

It would be nice if you could post some information about the bugfixes you did or provide a changelog. This is not much work I think and would help us alot...

Re: about using ktor
Jan 22 2006  on content KTorrent

I have not experienced any crash till now and I have also used previous versions. The only annoying thing is that uPnP does not work and I have to forward port manually.

I would also doubt that any crash you experienced is triggered by qt. It is rather probable that it is caused by your inability to manage and install software than the fact that qt is "a piece of shit".
Concerning azureus, it is good software indeed but eats my memory i want to use for something else. This is due to the design of java runtime und bindings under linux. So _this_ is a piece of shit.

I encourage the developer to continue the developement of ktorrent because it seems very promising to me!

Go on.
