Thanks for your answer, but it doesn't work, instead I get an errror message: "`fetchandwriteTag': undefined method `length' for nil:NilClass (NoMethodError)" The uid-string is empty, so something wents wrong during the collection query ... |

In the description you say: "If the database contains the same track under mountpoint / and another one, it won't work." How do I know, if thats the case? Can I test ist somehow? |

I use of course 1.4.5, did just a collection rescan but it didn't help. It could be, that the database is somehow corrupted, because I use it for ~1 year steady growing. But the rest of the database-functions in amarok do work, like the statistics or how often a track is played ... |

Hi, I have the same "Missing artist or title" problem. I use sqlite, xine and ogg-files. With uncommenting some popupMessages it seems that your script doesn't get any uid. (at least `dcop amarok playlist popupMessage "message #{uid}" brings up a popup with nothing more than "message" as text) |

I use Mandriva 10.2 and I don't think I did change anything in this respect, but now with 0.8.5 it works! Thanks! :-) |

Again with (hopefully) better formatting I think LANG is set to de_DE: [fe2@marvin ~]$ echo $LANG de_DE
I even tried to set the LC varible in amarok_replaygain.py to 'de_DE' or 'de_DE.utf8' (if LC == 'de': LC='de_DE.utf8') but there is always the 'LookupError:unknown encoding:' error message with 'de_DE' or 'de_DE.utf8' unknown. How does LC have to be set to get the german encoding? |
