| Thanks Jun 30 2007 on content qmdilib | Thanks for the feedback xep.
which system has been used for your test? I am using Kubuntu 7.04 (gcc 4.1.2 with Qt4.2.3) and Windows XP using MinGW 4 (gcc 4.1) and Qt 4.3.0. I would like to get feedback from non Linux/Windows users. I will update the changelog for version 0.0.5 to mention that 4.2 and 4.3 are supported.
I would like to get feedback about the quality of the documentation. I have spend a lot of time working on it, and I would like to know if it's worth it. |

The usage of a namespace maybe a good idea, I will think about it.
The flicering issue is will known to me, JFYI, it flicers less on X11 :)
THe usage of QWorkSpace will need to examined, I assume this will give me better options. I just need to learn this API and see how can I integrate my API into Trolltech's one. |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | How to install this Oct 3 2005 on content KDE X by Avieth | How should I install this theme? I untared this tgz and tried to install the kth file using the Theme Manager in KDE. It does not work on KDE 3.4.1 (Debian packages) and 3.5 (self compiled SVN) Thanks! |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: broken Jul 20 2004 on content kthememanager themes | Ok, try again.
For some reason, the updated file was not uploaded, I get warnning/error (some php stuuf i dont understand).
I uploaded it into another site and I link to it from here, hopefully this will fix the problems. |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: Re: No preview Jul 16 2004 on content kthememanager themes | I have seen it, and yet I do not like how it behaves. Too quite.
I expected the theme manager to be loaded with my theme to see that it was loaded correctly.
I also saw two menu entries with the same meaning while right clicking an option. |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: No preview Jul 16 2004 on content kthememanager themes | I have uploaded new themems and checked that the kth files have previews. They all have previwes.
However, the kthememanager for kde 3.3 does not install new themes fr me, and clicking the themes on konqui has no effect. On 3.2, I could not install the package manager since I use PCLinuxOS which has a different menu structure then the official KDE. If anyone has a package for Mandrake, please tell me.
To install themes do this:
* rename the themes to *.tgz
* unpack the tarball contents into ~/.kde/share/apps/kthememanager/themes
You should be able to see the previews now. If you have problems please report. |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Mandrake -> out Mar 10 2004 on content kbootsplash | ok... small summary...
THIS IS NOT FOR KDE! BUT FOR THE BOOTSPLASH IN LINUX! see bootsplash.org for more info.... newbies... duah...
Ok, I tested your app in my Mandrake, and it definetly does not work. I am sure mine does not work in SUSE. Apparently the distros take different approach for setting the bootsplash theme.
In Mandrake:
"/usr/share/bootsplash/scripts/switch-themes -l"
gives you the list of themes available. See my code for more info (ignore tabs and stuff). I used
"/usr/share/bootsplash/themes/$name/images/bootsplash-800x600.jpg "
for displaying something on the screen.
To change the theme, I did:
"/usr/share/bootsplash/scripts/switch-themes $name"
Hopefully you can fix your app to work in Mandrake as well. If you explain to me how does this thing work in SUSE, I will hack my own program to work on SUSE.
For detecting Mandrake, look for /etc/mandrake-release (or grep in redhat release for mandrake). |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | sure no problems Mar 7 2004 on content kbootsplash | i dont expect every one in the world to know all the apps available.
I was thinking of wrapping the app in some bash to detect if it's root or not.
What do you think of adding to your app? |
