No, not all KDE ports are bad, neither are the XP ports. The Oxgen theme reminds me of Mac GUIs, so I compared it with them. I appreciate the work and craftmanship which brings along themes like that, but i still don't understand what people like with oxygen. IMHO it's ugly and doesn't fit the new KDE look at all. BTW, i wouldn't use mac look-a-likes as well. In fact, after having played with tons of GTK themes, icon sets and Metacities, i came back to classic clearlooks with modified colors and gion iconset. |

...people keep porting the ugly KDE4 design to Gnome? It's bad enough XP designs are ported to Linux. The KDE4 GUI look is IMHO so badly designed and uninspiring. Furthermore, it's an insult to the beautiful Mac themes. As straightforward the new KDE4 wants to be with all it's partly useless eyecandy, so backward and boring is the GUI design. |

hi, like so often some aspects of a theme are great yet i won't use it because of some details.
i love highlighting with inverted gradients, but i definitely hate the yellowish window background.
why not add color support?
nevertheless, you did a good job. maybe you want to modify your theme a bit... ;) |
