I've been using KDE4 exclusively for ten days now and while there are still many bugs and lacking functionalities, especially with the panel and konqi, I don't really feel the urge to log into KDE3 again.
The look and feel have grown on me to the point that working with KDE3 at work feels somewhat ... well oldy-worldy.
I've already de-installed a number of KDE3-apps: all the games, kopete, kwallet, etc.).
KDE4 is here to stay! |

I've just built 0.3.42 and whatever you did, the file dialogs are right as rain now. Yay!

Other dialogs and child widgets are where they ought to be. Only the file dialog plays hide and seek, but all the file dialogs: open file, subtitle, directory ... |

Happens only with smplayer. The file dialog seems to default to display :0.0, even when $DISPLAY says :0.1 |

Great app, and getting better with each daily release.
Just one little problem: When I run smplayer on my second screen (TV), the file dialog opens on the first screen. Happens both with precompiled Suse packages and self compiled.
What could be the problem? |

I use a dualhead setup with 1280x1024 on my TFT and 1360x768 on the LCD-TV.
To make this work properly I need to use a different $KDEHOME on the TV for things like icon- and fontsizes. It would be really great if the Look&Feel modules of KControl would allow different settings for different displays.
Or if amarok would allow the output of libvisual plugins to be sent to a different display. |

The ability to play videos is a neat idea, but the automatic playback gets a little annoying for directories where the first entry is a video.
Is there an option to turn this off? I didn't find any.

What I meant was pointing tellico at the local folder where cddb information is stored and batch-importing all the files in there. That would be quite a bit easier (at least for the user) than having to insert several hundred CDs yet again.
