First, thanks for your work on Dragon Player, we appreciate it. The player's simple interface is what bring us to it (and Codeine) in the first place.
About the suggested option to hide some interface elements, this is my take.
1) Toolbar and Status Bar = YES
2) #1 and Windows Decorations = NO NO
Removing decorations will bring confusion and probably will break some interface style guides along the way.
About the toolbar and status bar, first people the player is already very compact. We can gain some space, but we are not talking about Windows Media regular/compact difference here.
I suggest an option to implement the bar hiding that will not need any additional interface (visible) option.
1) Add a key binding to toggle the bars. Something like CTRL + T
2) Only when the toolbars are hidden, show a message in the title bar with a brief instruction on how to turn them on.

First, thanks for codeine. It's easy to use, light and very clean.
Found three issues that if resolved would make codeine even better. All of them were found in the embeeded mode when playing a movie (ie. quicktime trailer) from apple.com
1. After trailer finish, you cannot replay the movie again using the play button, need to refresh the entire konqueror window.
2. Do not provide an option (or a easy one) to switch to Full screen, again on embeeded mode.
3. Allow an option to specify the percentage of a movie to cache locally before playing begins. Something like quicktime player do before the web trailers begins. This will help people with slower connections.

It compiles and installs fine on Arch Linux. Video plays fine, but if I select the top window menus while playing a video, the application freeze, and even free X. When playback is paused, menus work fine. |

can you provide the same clearlooks-metacity package also on your clearlooks space on sourceforge. It's more difficult to pack a package when the source is here. |
