| Compile error debian

Seems like a really helpful program, but I've got trouble compiling it.
The box is a Debian Stable with KDE3.2.0 and gcc 2.95. The error that i get is:

DB.cpp:604: no matching function for call to `vector::at (unsigned int &) const'

If I compile that file using g++-3.0, it compiles fine, but I'have problems with the configure script not detecting qt libs for some reason.
That is trying: CXX=g++-3.0 ./configure --prefix=/usr says it doesn't find the qt libs even if i define --with-qt-libs=/usr/lib/qt3.
After examining config.log I found that i get the following:

/tmp/ccZuyKwH.o(.text+0x13): undefined reference to `QStyleFactory::create(QString const&)'

/tmp/ccZuyKwH.o(.text+0x28): undefined reference to `QCursor::~QCursor [in-charge]()'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
Any ideas on how to solve this problem, with either gcc-2.95 or 3.0?

OK apparently it was the version of libfreetype6 i was using. I've backported the testing package into my woody, and that caused the relocation error. Bah have to backport around 20-30 packages now that depended on my backported libfreetype6 package.
Anyway something else know.
Most things run smooth and cpu usage is ok, but after a while (or when i do something specific don't know yet) the cpu usage reaches maximum levels. Top says:
30459 root 14 -10 276m 20m 4676 S 57.6 4.1 4:49.17 XFree86
30516 cirrus 14 0 19688 19m 17m R 22.2 3.8 1:39.28 kdeinit
And generally the computer feels very slow.
I'm using XFree86 Version 4.2.1.1
How is it for you guys. What version of XFree are you using?

Just downloaded and installed kde 3.2 debs on my debian woody box.
When i try and start kde i get the following error:
kdeinit: relocation error: /usr/lib/libqt-mt.so.3: undefined symbol: FT_Seek_Stream
and it just freezes loading.
Anyone any idea what could be going wrong? |

It seems that my packages only work on Woody.
I haven't tested them on Sid. |

By mistake I clicked on the do not ask again question and then the open button, after clicking on a .tar.gz I wanted to download. This means that every time I want to download a .tar.gz file I have to right click and save instead of the usual click and save to, which really annoy me. Does anybody know the way to change that pls? |
