| Downloading subtitles for streams

It is possible.
After the video has started in VLC, start VLSub, put the proper name of the film, and download (see that 'Load and save' is selected in Configs).
An error message may appear saying that the subtitles cannot be saved. Then: 'Click here to open the file'. That will download the subtitles (maybe archived).
This may vary between VLSub versions. A VLC error window may open instead of the error message in the VLSub window. Then, click 'Show config', then 'VLsub working directory' which opens a folder where the subtitle file should be.

When I add a playlist link like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXlXgpHQw04&list=PLA1ADC39779EDCD03) by ctrl-n it starts playing but in the playlist there's just the first song - and that is the only one played

of course i might assume your abuse to be the inarticulate expression of a consumer's opinion, but on the other hand i hate to see such distasteful words thrown at a script that i had very much appreciated and waited for. what do you think this is? a fun club? when somebody says here that it works, then it really works, so... |

i can confirm it works in my case in both ubuntu and windows 7 with latest VLC - so the problem is with other stuff that comes with your system.
try testing on other computers if you may and try to think twice before making harsh and really stupid allegations. people are here to help each-other, your problem and its solving might be useful to many, try to bring a contribution too |

In fact this is provided - the file specifies that

Great tool. This new version finds even more subtitles (some, which were not found by the older version were found by "Subtitle Finder" addon, but now this sums it all up to the best level)
What about having 'All' instead of 'English' as default search language? |

thanks. but the CLI instructions are somewhat obscure to me. java is installed. the file was not correctly associated with java. i have tried associating it with java.exe and then with javaw.exe. in both cases double clicking does nothing. sorry to insist |

why are so many extensions outdated/abandoned? who can post extensions here? are there other websites with vlc extensions? |
