The file kcommondecoration.h seems to be part of kde 3.5 only, so this (lovely) windeco doesn't compile on kde 3.4. Not sure if you have any plans of fixing that, but I figured I'd give you the heads up. I can give you more debugging info if you are interested in getting it working on kde 3.4.

Well, I did compress the original version using pngcrush. I couldn't squeeze much more out of it without changing the icons... So that's what I did :D Each icon in v0.9.3-2 has only 256 colours, so now the total size of the set is 19MB. Some icons don't look quite as good as in the original set, but that's the tradeoff.

Yeah 56MB is big. I've pngcrushed all the icons and shaved 4MB off the tarball, but there's not much else I can do other than start dropping icons. Reinhardt includes 1269 icons. To distribute a PNG version I have to include six different icon sizes (16, 22, 32, 48, 64 & 128) for each icon for a total of 7614 files. I could just distribute the SVG set along with the scripts to generate the icons, but believe me, rendering seven thousand icons with the gimp takes way longer than downloading 52MB ;).
As for performance, I haven't noticed a drop in speed compared to the SVG version of Reinhardt, but that's on a reasonably powerful desktop.
Anyway, I hope this helps explain why the tarball is so big!

Thanks. I plan on doing the widgets and menu style eventually, just after exams are done ;). As for the tabs, the thought had crossed my mind, but most themes use the bookmark icon there, so that's what I started with. I suppose a tab icon would make more sense ;).

I'm afraid not... I tried it on Moz 1.5 on my windows box, and it doesn't look so hot. Most of the navigation buttons don't show up, and the status bar icons are fugly. You could still try and see if it works better under Linux, but I have a feeling it won't.
Admittedly, this is my first go at making a theme, and I threw it together pretty quickly (in the name of having a consistent desktop ;) ), so if you find anything sorely missing, please either post it here or email me. Coming up with a Mozilla version is something I'll look into if I have some time over the holidays.
