Erm, how about this then? Go to Filters » Colours » Colour to Alpha Change the return color to a red like that in the image. After the filter runs those areas should be transparent. Now go to Layer » New Layer Have it set to the background color. Fill the now blank area with blue with a bucket fill. Now go to Layer » Stack » Layer to Bottom to move the blue under the original image Might not be perfect, but experiment with the shade of red in the filter and blue in the fill... might work. |

Very nice. I've always loved spiral effects, and this isn't an exception.
Hmm, one way you might go about making it blue could be to go colour-to-alpha filter to change the red to alpha. Then you could put in a new layer behind it filled with blue. I'm not sure how well that would work, but it's worth an experiment. |
