Here you go ... check out version 1.6

Hmmm ... That could even solve the multiple monitor problem in some cases.

Thanks for pointing this out, Mr. Lancelot :-) Gimper initially changed only the focus of the Toolbox, so I think I can add an option to revert back to this, when needed.

Ideally one would change The GIMP sourcecode and provide an elegant solution, but ... this will have to do for now.

I might create a sourceforge account for this project and that would do it, but this week I'm busy. Until then, you can report the bugs here.

Re: KDE4 port
Oct 24 2008  on content Gimper

Well, I have been thinking about it, but I currently do not see the benefits. Gimper works well under KDE 4 (you can look at the screencast) and to some extent under Gnome too. I think this tool is too simple to benefit from porting.

Success! I have managed to simulate "autohide" and it works reasonably well on my computer. I don't know if it is going to be smooth enough on slower computers, though.

Even better
Oct 20 2008  on content Hyper Video Converter

This new version is more user friendly than the old one, but it is also larger (FreePascal/Lazarus is good but their executables are quite large). IMHO the side-image on the old version looked more professional, but that is just the aesthetics. Keep up the good work!

Good idea! I will have to see if it is possible to simulate "autohide" by moving the toolbox off the screen instead of changing the focus.

Nice
Jul 24 2008  on content On Screen Display (OSD) for X11

This application was missing from KDE. I have been using Xosd (osd_cat) that does almost the same thing but without the cool kde progress bar and icons (just text based). The problem with xosd is that it does not use aliased text and the shadow of the text is not transparent. But its advantage is that it does not have to stay in memory. You can just call it with command parameters directly and then it exits.

For okindd, my suggestion would be to use center/top/bottom keywords instead of exact pixels in the config file since then the config can work on any resolution.

Nice job!
