touch-sensitive?
Jun 4 2007  on content TuxShop

Is that GUI with category images a touch-sensitive screen _AND_ done in Linux?

Pretty amazing, I thought this was still a new frontier for Linux.

Make Install broken
Apr 12 2007  on content KTrafficAnalyzer

Compiling on cutting edge Mandriva Cooker -- see console trace below:

]# make install
if test "`kde-config --prefix`" = ""; then echo KDEDIR not set!; exit 1; fi;
cp KTrafficAnalyzer `kde-config --prefix`/bin/
ln -s `kde-config --prefix`/bin/KTrafficAnalyzer `kde-config --prefix`/bin/ktrafficanalyzer
ln: creating symbolic link `/usr/bin/ktrafficanalyzer' to `/usr/bin/KTrafficAnalyzer': File exists
make: *** [install] Error 1

Feb 18 2007  on content Add2menu (mandrivamenu 2007)

The icon search dialog uses the KDE default 'Open' dialog which works perfectly as a tool if you know exactly what you are looking for but is not so great for finding the 'right' icon where you need to look through possibly hundreds and its convenient to categorize the images.

ATM the 'SAVE' button does not interact to let you know the job is done. I clicked it a couple times and seeing no feedback I checked to see if the item was added. It was, but its nice to have feedback.

Finally whats the Mime tab for and shouldn't mime be part of 'More'?

Issues in KDevelop
Feb 18 2007  on content KLetterWizard - The Unicoded version

I downloaded the tarball and seeing a kdevelop project file in, opened it in KDevelop 3.4 to build.

The build failed with this trace:

*** YOU'RE USING autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.60.
*** KDE requires autoconf 2.53 or newer
gmake[1]: *** [cvs] Error 1
gmake: *** [all] Error 2
*** Exited with status: 2 ***

./configure, make, make install, works great in a terminal.

Great job!
Feb 18 2007  on content Add2menu (mandrivamenu 2007)

This download worked perfecly on my Mandriva Cooker 2007.1.

I was expecting a *.kmdr script download not *.rpm but I think this is actually better since I also got a new menu entry.

I think this is especially handy for stuff I may compile/install myself and for all kommander scripts. Its also lots faster than starting up kmenuedit!!

Well done!
Feb 18 2007  on content ffmpeg

Running this on Mandriva 2007.1 Cooker, the dependencies were already installed and your downloaded script worked right away.

It seems you have more than one language in the GUI? Not sure but its also in English and had no trouble understanding and running it.

I am interested in converting a few small MPEG/AVI videos into *.3GP format for my cell phone and to date yours is the only Linux/KDE tool I've found with that feature so its very cool.

Lastly I dont think ffmpeg does such a good job with the audio for 3GP but in any case this is a keeper :)

Really nice renderin
Dec 10 2006  on content atomic_kernel

Its very beautiful, but I think this needs a little more... think you meant to mimic the look of an atom but it looks like fused glass balls and the 'orbital paths' have strange breaks in them. One ball seems to have like a globe as well. Thing is I think you are mixing several metaphors
