Dude, read the author's comments. It's only screenshots of an idea for a theme. :o)

Thank you, anonymous person, for making Americans look like buttholes. You flame Europeans for being cowardly and not posting anonymously, but you do the same thing yourself. And now you;ve stirred up sophomoric emotional anti-American postings. Good job.

Winhoes
May 8 2002  on content The Winhoes XP

"Ho" is the singular, "hoes" would be the plural. So "Winhos" would be incorrect - it would come out sounding like "when-hoss" or "when-hozz". You need the e in the plural to keep the o long.

In the singular, "ho" is correct, because "ho" is slang for "whore".

I found it a while back.

It's in the wallpaper section - you'll have to dig. Under the 3D section, or something to that effect.

Cool!

I don't know why it keeps getting rated down. I think it's pretty neat. Something different than all the recent deluge of crystal-* screenshots which all look the same that everybody and their pet mokey keeps posting.

Slick
May 4 2002  on poll What´s the best icon theme for KDE3.1

Crystal, iKons, and Hi-color are VERY good icon themes in and of themselves - but they are all the same style, ie, "cartoonish". There isn't a thing wrong with that, I love the look when I'm the mood for it - but they are all cartoonish. The user has abundant choices of cartoonish icons, but what about a more "industrial" look?

Enter Slick.

Slick gave me what I've been searching for. They are very well designed, very detailed, and don't loose their meaning in their photo-realisticness. They give KDE what it has long been missing: an "industrial", serious, non-Fischer Price look.

I'm not saying the other icons are bad - they most certainly are not. Tackat has a very good point about the meaningfulness of icons. Slick just gives us the option of non-cartoonishness for those who want it.
