The thing is, cooliris isn't very informative. With coverflow you have a list by default and a list usually has things like name, date modified, type, etc. And gloobus preview is also informative right out of the box. But cooliris isn't. It's just a cool picture previewer. |

While it looks nice as an image, its going to reduce productivity in its current state. Like for example, the add workspaces button. It needs to be in the corners because those are the most accesible places on any desktop. Same goes for the panel up top. That needs to be right on the edge if users want to quickly do anything with it.
Also, the panel looks like its lacking things like a clock, and those notifications like pidgin look like they take up too much space. They should be icons.
Well, that's my take on your design. Just fix those and it would be pretty damn good. |
