It's overall nice, although the window actions graphics could use some refinement(they are somewhat jagged around the edges), as could the right-click menu graphics.
Other than that, I like it. |

The address of the mouse was just an example. A more practical piece of information would be the battery level, for one.
As far as pop-up notifications, they would be entirely optional and have configurable timeouts--the typical usage would involve hovering over the tray icon to get an overview. |

It's convenient and informative(though optional, as far as pop-up notifications).
It's informative in the sense that you have an easily-accessible list/description of plugged-in devices, basically(if you need to know, for instance, the exact port(address) that's being used by a wireless mouse.
To sum things up, it would be a convenient way of knowing if/how your system acknowledges a device and the ability to change w/e options are associated with that device from a single, convenient location(tray). |
