Well i guess this is what you get for being controversial. It is impossible to please everybody all the time. But seriously Thorson if you have that big of a problem with this, then report it to an admin.
For me Stalin is first of all a mass-murderer, but he is also the personalization of the philosophy of communism (much like Eric Stallman is for the GNU philosophy). And thoug what happened in USSR were at least as bad as what happened in Nazi-Germany, the philosophy behind Nazism is not admirable and can therefore not be compared this way.
I bet that most of us, at some point been called communists for sharing our programs, imagery, knowledge etc. etc. (i know i have plenty of times!). But then again, i come from a contry (Denmark) that have a very relaxed perception of communism. And when mentioned we thinks more about the communist philosophy that what happened in Soviet Russia (or at least i do, ask theslayer84 he's from here as well). |
