| Menubar Feb 20 2010 on content Zee | I like this theme a lot, but the menu bar is simply just plain black text on a white background which doesn't integrate into the overall theme at all. That's quite a deal breaker. |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Themeing Feb 19 2010 on content Nautilus Mockup | It looks very nice, but are you sure the nice looks isn't theme-dependent? Have you tried making mockups of how it would look with e.g. Elementary, Human, etc.? Also, I think a few more buttons for stuff I use often would be nice.
Also, the bookmark sidebar looks nice there, but would it still look good and usable with a different background? |

I'm also a +1 on the wish for a utility window variant, that would definitely add some class to an already classy theme.
I also want to "bump" my wish for something being done about the buttons on inactive windows. Maybe the bytton colors are fine, but I think they should be more defined or outlined, rather than just having an overall transparency added.
That is, however, a detail, and I am really loving this theme! |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Scrollbar Feb 9 2010 on content Human-Lucid | I love this theme, but one thing I don't like is the scrollbar. To me it looks like someone didn't have enough coffeebeans left that day and was too hung over to buy some. I would love to see a scrollbarthat would stay discrete, but more defined, both in colour, gradient and outline. The rest of the theme does this very well. |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Goodness! Feb 3 2010 on content Homosapien Metacity Customizer 0.4.5 | Just got vers. 0.6, and I must say that I think this theme is very near perfection! Is there any chance you could set up a PPA so people could have the theme automatically updated? I think that would be very popular.
Personally I stilll think that the buttons and app icon in the inactive window could be in full color (i.e. not dimmed), bu also, as another user said: Don't listen to all my suggestions :-) Just go with what looks right to you, since you seem to have excellent taste. But still throwing in a suggestion :-) |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Re: Re: Inactive windows Feb 2 2010 on content Homosapien Metacity Customizer 0.4.5 | No, apparently it wasn't the latest version :) The latest looks great!
If I may suggest a couple of more things: I think the buttons in inactive titlebars could safely be fully visible (i.e. not transparent/dimmed). They are discrete enough that thry would not make visual noise, and it would make the desktop look a bit crisper and fresher that way.
Second, I think a discrete gradient in the titlebar sort of like the Elementary metacity theme could give it a subtle 3D look, right now it looks a bit "flat".
These are tiny details, my overall impression of this theme is very positive indeed! |
| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | Inactive windows Feb 2 2010 on content Homosapien Metacity Customizer 0.4.5 | I really love this theme as it is one of the best looking and still uniquely Gnome themes out there, not a Mac/Win rip-off.
Personally, I would very much prefer if the titlebar of inactive windows simply blended in with the window background as they do in the Human theme and many others. This would reduce visual noise on the screen, help focus on the active window and hence improve usability. And also, it would look sweet as molasses :-) |
