In fact the script chooses 40-50% volume for Oggs and around 80-85% for MP3s, but actually it sounds ok. I had a few MP3s which accidentially where not mp3gain-Tagges at all, these were also played at 85% but sounded much to loud. After running mp3gain on them it seems to be ok. (Although your replaygain script winding up the volume from 35% to 85% on a song change looks and sounds funny... :-)
Thanks for your fast response and sorry for the confusion caused,

| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | ogg vs. mp3 loudness Jan 9 2006 on content ReplayGain | Hi!
I have many Oggs a some few MP3s which are vorbisgain / mp3gain tagged. Using this cool script I just found it finally has an even if playing on my PC, which is more than cool! :-)
However, it does not yet have quite the effect I wanted it to:
While (using radio gains) all Ogg songs sound about equally loud and all mp3s as well, the MP3s sound much louder compared to the Oggs. This cript chooses around 50% (+/- 10%) loudness setting for Oggs and about 80% (+/- 10%) fpr MP3s - what am I doing wrong?
Pointers to FAQs are greatly appreciated! :-)

That'd probably an interesting additional information. Besides that, cool idea to replace netral's spinner with the crystal clock. :-) |

A feature request: How about changing the window border sligthly for maximized windows, as Keramik does? Maximized windows should IMHO lack the lower right and the upper left handles so they make better use of the screen size without annoying manual adjustments?

| ![.](/img/trans.gif) | | "reliable" resizing? Mar 21 2003 on content Resizeable Tux Cursor! | Hi!
I still have not completely figured out how to reliably use Xcursor themes. If I configure the theme via X ressources, it's only partially used, depending on where I point in my apps. If I configure it using index.theme, its used everywhere. I added a Size=32 below the "Inherits=" line there which seems to work more or less, however some of the icons look too big, eg. the "pointing" tux is quite a bit larger than the animated "standard" tux. The animated hourglass is simply huge. Is this the way it's meant to or am I doing something wrong?
Additionally a suggestion: IMHO it's no too good idea to make the standard cursor animated. How about adding a variant of this theme with a static default cursor that just gets "into action" if changed to a special cursor (eg. make the "pointing tux" cursor animated, instead of the default cursor.) Or publish this theme's sources so I can modify it myself. :-)
Anyway, thanks alot for this really innovative and funny theme! :-)
