Accually, it was not the pentagram that I was offended off, let's say, because it's a pentagram. But I was "offended" because he made it "in reply to ... Make this button with penguin, not this Nova Era symbol! It'll be nice! Jesus loves you!!!" How should I explain it... Let's say that someone don't like christians. Then one time, he sees a christian on the street, he walks up to him and start swearing etc. Just because they are christian. This is what I mean.

Jesus Is Lord

i8puppies: How do you define "christian"? The Bible is clear that if a person is a new creature, he is a christian or a child of God. Noone can enter the kingdom of Heaven without the new spiritual birth.

I have lived as an atheist for 19 years. Why would I ever want to be like that again? When I was saved almost three years ago, I became a new creature (born again), and was instantly infilled with the Holy Spirit. Since then, life has never been the same again.

I would be a fool to say that I did not believe in the truth, because I know. I've had an encounter with God. I speak out of experience, not belief only. Even now I feel the precious Holy Spirit, with living water flowing inside of me. Because of this, I know that I will not be condemned of the day of judgement, but have the actual forgiveness of sins. Jesus paid the price. I now have peace with God. Simply call on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, too.

Therefore, I know that I am a christian.

You say that "only a small percentage of people who claim to be christians actually are christians". It may be correct that a lot of people claiming to be christians out of the name, are in fact not christians because they are not born again. But fact is, it is God who will judge them.

The "true" christians are identified with the truth that he will live as a christian. You will know if a christian is a christian by judging from their works. If a christian lives as an atheist, in other words, an ungodly lifestyle, he is probably not saved. But again, it is God who will judge.

A child of God is supposed to confront evil and promote good. You can not be indifferent to evil. There is a whole lot of difference between "Jesus loves you.", "Buddha loves you" and "Allah loves you". While it's true that Jesus loves anyone indifferrently, by living proof that He sacrified His life for them (and rose again on the third day), so that they should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16), the same can not be said of the other gods. Allah, for example, only loves muslims. Buddhism believes that animals are equal with man. Evolutionism is racistic. I'm sorry, but it's only Jesus who loves all people, indifferently. And that's why He knows what is best for anyone.

As for gay people, Jesus gave His life for all sinners, even as great as me. Jesus has several africans in his lineage from His mothers side. King Solomon was married to a black woman. The Song of Songs is about a black woman. There is a lot of christians in Africa, like in India, and I love them indifferrently. Please don't insinuate christians for being racistic. It's so false.

The "real" christian don't believe in his own ideology. He has died to self and is now living for Christ. The Holy Spirit is shaping the christian the way that God wants him to be. Which will always be in accordance with Gods Word.

It's great that you're agnostic. It shows that you are more open-minded that most atheism-fundamentalists........ :)

Please mind that atheism is a "religion" also in the sense that it is a worldview. Of course, I don't claim to believe in a religion. I believe in "the Way and the Truth and the Life". There is only one truth, and only one God. I am simply expressing my liberty of religious freedom.

If you don't like it, ignore it, you said, but you did not ignore it yourself. Do you mind that you can vote good or bad? You can also write a comment. I simply expressed a greater tolerance against people who may find these kind of stuff offensive, because of our religious views.

After all 96 percent of the world population are religious.

Obviously, since satanism is blatanly evil and is dangerous to society etc. there is no reason for promoting these kind of evil mindsets. By telling people that God loves them, despite of who they are or what they have done, they will not be broken down with suicidal thoughts, rather they will be filled with a new hope. I tell it because it's true. It's up to you whether or not to believe it, though. By spreading a message of love, you can accually affect people in a positive way.

Words are powerful stuff and should not be used ignorantly. Jesus loves YOU, too!

This is really the most useful biblestudy software I've ever used, because if you use it alongside with bash-scripts, klipper, or the run dialog, it will be very quick and efficient to look up bibleverses.

However, since BibleTime 1.5 and GnomeSword2 2.1.2 was released, it won't run anymore because it seems incompatible with sword 1.5.8.

Please fix this!!

Also, Kio-Sword has to be one of the most underrated apps for KDE I've used. If you don't like the default look - you can change it.

Sorry

Excuse me, but I don't see the point. There's no such thing as getting offended by a "Jesus loves you" message. How can anyone be offended by a message of love?

I'm sure that for you this graphic-thing you made, means nothing. But from a christian point of view, it's clearly blasphemous, and that is something that you should think about before posting.

There is a lot of christians visiting KDE-sites, so please pay some respect.

Also, whatever you write, or post, it will affect people.

Thanks. God bless you.
