So I found a working youtube.lua (newer than link posted by author and countless others)

I can recreate the problem that a lot get with videos being skipped (some did and didn't), mrl, decoding etc just by using the youtube.lua that the addon author posted, all works as expected even vids with ads for me.
After having difficulties using authors link to the old one and trying countless "fixes" that pretty much just use the EXACT same .lua, I over-looked it was a git address so it was then pretty obvious http://git.videolan.org/?p=vlc.git and just search for the lua........
I went a page back and tried the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM__lPTWThU that EdHunterMH posted and it worked, when I tried the .lua the author posted it didn't work.
I know nothing about about lua etc, but I figure if I was still getting some of the same errors that people were in march and my client is fully updated, and this fixed it (and can be re-created) then I thought it couldn't hurt. Playlists now work fantastic 100% of the time with no drops/skips/errors. |
