Clearlooks
Mar 14 2008  on content Clearlooks-Colors

Very nice clean theme, clearlooks really is the one true theme engine :-). Good job, and dark themes are really hard to get right, but I think you did a good job with yours. Have you thought of submitting your themes for the hardy theme proposal? It may not be super shiny, but it's usable and still stays true to the color scheme to a degree (without being a giant brown and orange swirl).

pretty cool

But it would be really nice if you included a screenshot of the widget factory so people have a better idea of what your theme is about.

Since i have no idea what distro you're using i'll just let you know the widget factory comes in the package (in ubuntu and debian) thewidgetfactory (surprise surprise) and you have to run it from the terminal, just use the command "twf", it doesn't need any options or anything, I personally got sick of popping open an *extra* terminal just to launch the widget factory so i created a launcher on my desktop to launch it.

AWESOME!

Seriously, it looks great, and I can't tell you how much i appreciate new theme engines cropping up, keep it up!

Awesome!
Jan 30 2008  on content Gelatin

Honestly when I first saw the mockups for the Gelatin theme I was pretty skeptical, but using what you've created changed my mind, it's really pretty cool and DEFINITELY would be a vast improvement over the current ubuntu theme. (I can't help but wonder though if there's a way to eliminate the need for the pixmap engine. I guess on the menu items it'd be necessary, but certainly the scrollbars could be converted to a "real" theme, maybe the answer is for someone to write a svg theme engine...)

Nice
Jan 26 2008  on content DockSide

Very nice, but it would be even nicer if the preview image was bigger than a postage stamp :-)

As for resolution, i'm a widescreen user, 1920x1200. Maybe if you could crop the original to something of that aspect ratio 16:10 isn't it? and then scale it? (of course... that's only if you want to lol)

blue?
Jan 24 2008  on content GlossyGreen

First of all this is awesome, it's a really good dark theme, which I'm always looking out for, but what about a blue-ish version? In my opinion dark themes always look best with some sort of blue... just my opinion though lol.

roundness
Jan 23 2008  on content Hush

Hey I noticed the little "bow tie" effect you have going, if you didn't already know, it's because the widgets are too round for their size. I'm pretty sure you can hand specify the roundness for individual widgets (like scrollbars) by adding

engine "murrine"
{
roundness: 3;
}

or something similar to the scrollbar portion of the gtkrc.

Really I think the theme engine should cap the roundness so that this sort of thing doesn't happen, but whatever...
