I can't compile amarok CVS for about three weeks now.
'make' fails in:
1) xmmswrapper (so I disable it in Makefile)
2) arts engine (so I configure --without-arts)
3) while linking enginecontroller.o (no way I can fix this)
I have to note that my system uses gcc 2.95.3 and I believe this to be the root of all evil, but still previous versions of amarok compiled just fine and for at least there's got to be a notions of the required gcc version. |

Well, interface' uptime is the same as my system - currently it is 13 hours, and back then - ten hours, so it seems. Negative value was about 640 minutes - it roughly equals my estimation. |

I opened status dialog of KNemo monitoring my eth0 connection and - surprise-surprise! - it shows negative uptime value! What's more, it is even counting up to zero, hehe. |

1) What's 'kdesudo'? I visited it's website but couldn't quite grasp the reasoning behind it - our install script handles 'sudo' settings in a way that wouldn't requre any frontends like 'kdesudo'. However, you're free to sed it like, say "sed 's/kdesu/kdesudo/g' -i install.sh" in your ebuild if kdesudo happens to be the default in Gentoo - I believe it's easy enough for an experienced user but for an average user adding yet another authentication mode is too much. However, if you can explain to me what are the advantages of using kdesudo alongside with sudo&kdesu, I will consider it like any other wish from our beloved users - i.e. "next version will have it" ;-)
2) Will it be easier for you to handle the install script if I will provide command-line options for most options? Say, '--prefix=/usr' and such? Just say so and next release will support them.
Still, there is one more thing I fail to understand: how is multiple files better than one "install.sh"? For at least in terms of ease of use it is certainly less user-friendly. |

Thanks, this app is indeed useful - now if only there would be means to start/stop an interface, but I understand the problem of permissions and such - however, you can use kdesu to handle this.
What is more important right now is to make the info dialog go away when I click the icon second time - i.e. I click it once - it pops up; I click it second time - it is closed. |
