In Linux, structura sistemului de fisiere este organizata intr-o ierarhie clara, iar fiecare director indeplineste un rol distinct. Unul dintre directoarele importante din Linux este /opt, care este o locatie pentru instalarea aplicatiilor optionale sau suplimentare. Acest articol va analiza in detaliu directorul /opt, intelegendu-i rolul, utilizarea si beneficiile in ecosistemul Linux.Rolul directorului /opt este de a gestiona aplicatiile de la terti departe de directoarele si fisierele sistemului de baza.
