Comments so far:
"looks like Windows for children" (with the crystal svg icons and SuSE)
"Where is "My Computer"?"
"Oh - that other stuff... no, you better do that" (about to write a letter and then realized the promising icon does not reveal Lotus Word Pro but Kword)
"Can I get the wallpaper?"
"Why don't you use a Mac instead of pretending to use one?"
And one of my favorites:
"Your startbutton is gone..."

Usually I tell people it's KDE/Kubuntu, but the ones I haven't have said...

"Your Start Button is missing..."
"Where is 'My Computer'?"
"Are you using StyleXP?"
"Which theme is that?"
"I want my Windows to look like that!"

Funny how people just don't even consider the possibility that it isn't Windows.

Set of my friends' questions:

"Where is Internet Explorer?"
"How do you launch programs here?" (I have a hiding osx-like kicker bar on the bottom and Kmenu, virtual desktops and tray on top)

And when I tell them it's not windows:

"Oh, firefox is also available for linux?"
"And you say it's free?!"

Anyone with compiz installed can just spin the desktop cube, and get A "I want that, too! Right now!" response ;)

I've been told "Hey! It's not slow at all, look!" with a surprised face.

Which is sad, really... They think computers are slow.

I usually get smth like this:

"It isn't that bad!" or "It isn't as bad as they told me!"
"I can't believe it doesn't have any viruses"
"Let me touch it, let me touch it!"
"WTF is that?" or "What kind of Windows is it?"
"How do I ...?" (various)
"Looks cool, but must be very complex..."
"Where is your Winamp?"
"Yay, you got Quake3!"
"Wow, nice screensaver/background..."
"What ar those funny thingies?" (superkaramba)
"They said they would install this for me, but didn't!"
"Black screen, aaaaaaa, turn it off!!!" (terminal)

Well, now everyone's pretty much used to it... :)
