i beg your pardon, but i think it is a "bit" too early to rate kde 3.3. it just got released. and no distro has the relevant rpms or a new, kde 3.3 based distro out yet....

Gentoo has the ebuilds, and I have heard someone mention Debian having it. You could compile it from source on your own. I used to do that with SUSE 8.0 after they stopped releasing the packages for my version. Gentoo users need to unmask or use ACCEPT_KEYWORDS to install 3.3 for now.

Uhm...

Debian,
SuSE,
Gentoo,
Conectiva,
Yoper

are all available from the KDE Server.

For everyone else there are the sources (which I prefer since no distributor messes with the binaries) and konstruct.

If you want to wait for a distribution containing KDE 3.3 you should choose "No plans to upgrade".

Just wait until it finsihed compiling and vote then. No one forces you to vote right now. And if anyone forces you, tell him to shut up ;-)

A very nice release! No segfaults, no errors. Everything works (almost) flawlessly (only quanta refused to compile - I'll investigate further). Fast, nice and stable. Continue the good work!

I compiled it from portage on my gentoo machine. I like the added button options for the title bars. However it has some minor issues on my machine. First of all, KDM login manager wont log me in to kde. I have to use XDM to log in. don't know if this is only on my machine, but it is annoying; The Icons leave trails on my desktop when i move them and I have to manualy refresh my desktop; And I cant figure out how to get some programs I opened up the first time i ran 3.3 to stop opening when i open kde again. They are not in the autostart folder. This might have something to do with me having to shutdown my machine from a konsole, because of the KDM issue. That will teach me to upgrade to a X.X.0 release. I am going to downgrade back to 3.2 because it had no problems. I'll just wait till 3.3.1 or higher comes out to try it again.
