I've just realized I have a bunch of machines which I all use from time to time with quite different architectures:

m68k(68000 and 68LC40), both are old Powerbooks, not networked(yet, but will be soon)

MIPS(Agenda VR3)

ARM(Zaurus SL5500)

AMD64(Athlon64 3000+) - this one I use about 80% of the time, it also serves very well as an NFS server(home directories as well some extra storage) to the rest

Regular AMD - Athlon 1200

Lastly, there is an older Celeron 300 in the closet, a newer Celeron near the TV, and other things like 486DX33, K6 and Cyrixes lying over the place :)

That's all I can think of so far, though there's a remote possibility a Sparc would join them this year :) Surely someone would have a more diverse environment?

That's 64, not 32. Only 2% of 32-bit users power their CPU.

What is powering your CPU? Voltage overclocking, or something similar?

Amazing that.

When I saw the survey, I was assuming they meant PPC chips, but then people were saying things like "Only 2% of 32-bit users power their CPU", which made me think they were talking something completely different.

And, if only 2% of people do it to their computer, then it's probably dangerous, stupid, and hopefully technical.

Well - having 4 different types of CPU's - I think, multiple choice should have been enabled.

Gaming: Intel Athlon 2400 XP
Dev. Workstation: Via C3 Nemiah 10000 1GHz
Server: Via Ezra 533MHz
Wife: Intel Celeron 900MHz
Wife 2: Intel PII 233MHz
Subnotebook: Intel 486DX2-50 MHz(Terminal)

And now ? Which one should I register ?

All of them.

You have 3 Intel IA32

One 32 Bit AMD

and one that falls under 'other'.

Anyone using dual processors? im running 2 Intel P-3's at 1 GHz each (almost, there 933mHz) and 512 mb ram

M$ bist fur zuruck bleiben, so habe ich SuSE Linux!

yea. my servers are all duals, my work machine is a quad, and everything else but the notebook is dual.
