use KDE in your corporate environment then please post a comment why. What application is required? What is it that you can't do under KDE?

I always used KDE heavily, but when KOrganizer dropped the support of MS Exchange while introducing some critical bugs (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124885) I was forced to switch to Windows on my Laptop :-(

...in a Linux-friendly environment, or at a Microsoft-centric environment (mine would be (luckily!) tending towards the first)? :)

Minho's University

I use KDE everywhere. At home for private use, and at the university as a bioinformatics researcher. No MS environment is required because i develop mainly with Eclipse IDE and all the tools i take advantage of, are open-source (weka, bioweka, poseidon, etc...). All the servers are running on top of open-source linux distros like centOS, even the cluster we use for tests (~100 dual xeons) is running on top of centOS. I use kubuntu in one of my laptops and gentoo on the other, both running KDE over XGL with compiz. Just perfect!
I admit though, that many of my former university colleagues are required to use .net environments by the employer companies.

My business is linux/KDE-oriented. We are using mostly Kontact, Quasar Accounting (ERP) and Konqueror.

I use KDE at home, but also at work. I find KDE makes a great web development platform. Sadly, our office does require the use of Adobe CS apps at times, so I often have to boot into Windows (multi-boot box).

No one is BSD friendly, because they always rant against Linux ;-)

OK, OK... I once again forgot BSD. Mea Culpa!
