There is a phrase popular among the community of the http://www.linux.org.ru portal - "to the bioreactor". The idea is that internet trolls and anonymous flamers should be sent to bioreactors and recycled into methane. A bit cruel, but very practical - methane is a very good organic fuel :)

If you would have taken the red pill, you would try to free the humans from beeing an energy source, so that should be the wrong option for you in that case.

Therefore the GREEN pill ;-)

And what will be used to store it? Anti-matter could be stored only in containers made of anti-matter :)

None of the above, or rather a combination of the above plus other choices, all coming together in a diverse (http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/climate/solution/index.cfm) and decentralised (http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/MultimediaFiles/Live/FullReport/7148.pdf) energy system.

For the UK, at least, nuclear is an expensive red herring. We can massively reduce our energy consumption, explot the massive potential of renewables, and decentralise our power system to make it far more efficient than the current redundant centralised system. Woking Borough Council cut their C02 emissions by 77% by slashing their energy usage and moving to renewables!

Fusion has most supporters? Why should we create a fusion reactor when we already have one on the sky! (= I chose solar :)

Maybe because the energy link is not very efficient.

The problem is that solar panels suck. Majority of energy used nowadays is from plants some way, which have gotten the energy directly from sunlight. Storing energy produced by photosynthesis as electricity instead of sugar is being studied at the moment, and I believe it will some day work quite nicely. This poll was about future, wasn't it?

have you ever thought about this:

computers are going smaller and smaller...chips are smaller and mightier, so in future we can have human-integrated-computer (HIC not bad name) directly in our organism...I wouldn't guess where the USB plugin should go...however, the processor will be in some part of the brain, it'd be so small that it won't interfier mind's activity, and as STDIO could be taken the senses we have, like the voice...with voice sythisizer to recognize what we are saying, directly into the STDIO...so If I say "ls" i see what I have in the console...I have idea for the display too.. one of the eye we have can be replaced as perceptor of LCD signals (or what today is LCD) so that we can see what is going on back there...

Ok this is just a drill, I repeat this is just a drill. Don't attempt to exercise this on any life forms. It is prototype...

wow!

And what would happen to your brain in case of a kernel panic?

And would there be many brave betatesters?
