 Interesting

Very interesting because it's surprising to see that most people has a 512k connection. In fact here in France we used to be late with internet but today you can have a 8 MBits connection for about 18 USD (15€) per month and even 20 MBits for 36 USD (30€) per month with the new ADSL2+!

In Spain, Ono offers 3Mbps download and 150Kbps upload for 29,99€, but it only has his business in the east part of Spain. Auna offers 1Mbps for 39,99€. But the biggest ISP is Telefónica and actually it only offers 512Kbps download and 128 Kbps upload for 39,99€. They promised to double the speed next month but the price will still be the same (and they're not going to lower it till the end of time). I even have a friend who still uses a 56K modem. So if you have 8Mbps connections in France, we envy you guys. ;)

In Sweden the broadband costs 28MB for 34 Euro and 8Mb cost 23 Euro a mounth.
The 28MB and 8MB can be found at adamobredband.com actually a spanish company =)

We will soon have 100MB for about 55 Euro a mounth. That's nice!

100 Mb???

Wow. Is there any restriction on time or volume or is this a flat offer?

 In USA

Wow, I always knew Comcast (my cable provider) was a rip-off, but I never knew how bad it was!

Comcast charges $40/month for 4Mbps download and 384Kbps upload. However, that's just what they claim is the maximum speed. They say in fine print that "many factors affect download speed", which means that I've personally never seen anything transfer faster than 500-600Kbps.....

Maybe I'll threaten to cancel so they'll give me a discount... (it works!)

When nobody is looking, this sentence is in Spanish.

Heh. I'm also stuck on comcast. Well here it's either comcast or verizon dsl. Some choice... and Verizon DSL = crap here so it's comcast. The highest I've seen is 524 KB/s down and 43 KB/s up. I am really tempted to move to Sweden just for the internet.

Here in kiev i have 2Mbit/512kbps BUT paying $0.06 per MB (in+out) - through tv-cable

And there is no high-speed (more then 512kbps) unlimited proposition for end-user and even 256unlim costs $200 or more.

I wish i lived in Japan!
