 Non-KDE apps I use

I try to use KDE apps when possible, but I stick with Firefox and Thunderbird for web browsing and e-mail. I also have to use Acrobat Reader (motif, yuck!) once in a while. Apart from that, I replaced the KDE screensaver with regular xscreensaver - its configuration dialog has got many more options (e.g. use random screensaver only from a given subset of all available ones). And then there's the GIMP and Azureus. Other than that, it's KDE apps all the way.
What about others ? What non-KDE apps do you use and why ?

Eclipse (Java Development)

Thunderbird (cause it has the best LDAP support and I can access the mails also from the other partition with an OS I don't dare to mention here)

Nedit (cause I can also use it on HP-UX, Solaris, AIX and so on. However on Linux Kwrite becomes better and better and I am beginning to use it more often)

VMware

Gimp

Inkscape

To mess up a Linux box, you need to work at it; to mess up your Windows box, you just need to work on it.

You did deal with "viruses", you chose a near bullet-proof OS. I think you meant to type (for your sig):

"I laugh at viruses, I use Linux."
