 ?

KDE 3.0 rocks and it's indeed somewhat more responsive, very nice!
It's still not how it should be, but it' getting better and better, so keep up the great work :)
(I do have some suggestions but I don't think this is the right place for that)

I also like the Mac-like possibilities (I don't have the money to buy a real Mac)
And it would be even better if program menus could be put into the desktop menu :)

But how is it possible I'm seeing all those people with the great looking Keramik style while it isn't even available yet?
(couldn't find it in the cvs)

Also, with my just upgraded Mandrake 8.2 (+ KDE 3.0 final) I don't have any transparency, and font smoothing does also not work anymore.. :/ (it did work with KDE 2.2.2 and the Render extension is also available (GeForce3 Ti 200))

Too bad, but it's still nice :)

Well I am using the second beta from Redhat after trying Mandrake 8.2 which was a waste of time. Goodbye Mandrake and Welcome back Redhat. It works fine is more stable than Mandrake 8.2 at least on my system. I also installed it for a friend today who says the same it is just great.

I hope someone could helpme.
I've installed the Kgamma control panel module to adjust my monitor gamma, It works fine, and now I got beautiful colors under Linux.
The fact: The KDE help system doesn't work anymore, I don't know if this depend by the Kgamma installation beacause I haven't used the khelp before.
Someone have some suggestions?

The error message says about an error loading:
help:/khelpcenter/index.html?anchor=welcome:

The error message says about that was impossible create an io-slave and klauncher found an error launching kio-help

urpmi is a nice wrapper that Mandrake built on top of RPM; I never knew it existed until sometime May or else I would have KDE 3 installed WAY earlier, it interactively asked a few things, I simply used "urpmi *.rpm" on my KDE 3 download directory and in the course of my installation it asked:

1. failed dependancy, stop?
2. package conflict, stop? [with KDE 2]
3. choose dependancy:
Lesstif
OpenMotif

Mandrake is a value-added license of Red Hat, by the way.
