 Mosfet will be back

Mosfet is an artists - and artists are very impulsive and quick in their decisions. But after a while they're coming back to the roots - so Mosfet will do! At christmas he'll continue his work!

 Re-open liquid lic.

If you aren't going to work on Liquid for KDE anymore, then I challenge you to re-GPL it. Let go whatever ownerships and let others continue the work. Maybe then KDE can actually adopt it and use it again.

Don't just walk away from your users (of which I am not one). Do you think it ethical to get them hooked and then take it away? Bad form man, bad form. None of this would have happened if you hadn't changed the license in the first place.

Sorry about that. I clicked on the [back] link after the post... it seems to have caused it to post again. My appologies.

 mosfet and slack 8.0

I have the same problem. All was perfectly running on my slack 7.1 but I can't compile styles on slack 8.0
Not just Liquid...even the QNX-like engin won't compile. The errormessage is:

checking whether the C compiler works... configure: error: cannot run C
compiled programs.
If you meant to cross compile, use `--host'.

I asked for help in the kde-linux ML and in the Slackware Forum but it seems that nobody knows the solution :(

Any suggestion?
Thanks :)

 Compiling Problems

by anonymous on: Oct 13 2001

Anyone who is having problems with error messages when compiling, I had the same problems. It seems to be related to autoconf and automake versions. What I did was download autoconf-2.13 and automake-1.4p5 and build those. After that both liquid and qnix compiled fine. The problem is with the newer autoconf-2.50 that comes with Slackware and other newer versioned distros (Mandrake 8.x.)
