 Tiles

IMHO all tiles can go. I've never found a tile that makes a beautiful desktop. I rather use a plain color than a tile.

 Useful

The tilable wallpapers are very useful to use as folder backgrounds. You can give each folder a different look without having to use a full screen sized image. Try it sometime! They are also good anywhere else you want a something between a plain solid color and a fancy desktop wallpaper. Like the background of KDM, for example. I also like to use them on my #2, #3, and #4 desktops.

By all means, get rid of the ugly ones (Paper01), but leave the good Propaganda/Poag artwork.

 My thoughts

All Good People -- it's ok, may stay
Ancient Glyphs -- should be removed
Appropriately-Left-Handed -- may stay
Blkmarble -- remove that! Tiles really bad
blue angle swirl -- no reason to keep it
bluegreencrisscross -- can't believe it hasn't been removed already
Chicken Songs -- it's ok
Circuit -- the idea is good, but the actual pic sucks
foggy -- should be sent to /dev/null
gold crinkle -- should follow foggy
Marble01 -- this one coild stay
No Ones Laughing -- never liked that one
northbeach -- delete it already
Paper01 -- plain ugly
Planning And Probing -- that one is really nice
Prpbumps -- I think if it's deleted, nobody will regret
sunday brunch -- not good enough to stay
Superfluous Organ -- this one can be left
The Good Times -- looks like goo
Time For Lunch -- not the best one, but not the worst.
Totally New Product -- one of the few nice tiles
vegetative fog -- looks awfully
Water01 -- should probably go
Whirling Spirit -- tiles too bad to be left
Won Ton Soup -- many people dislike it, but it could be left in

This is my humble opinion. YMMV

I just don't know .. i never used them but i think you'll find people who consider them useful and don't want them to be removed from the next releases. I think that the best solutions is to make them available on the web as a package so if anyone needs them he'll be able to retrive them :)

dannya logged into svn and removed all of the tiles and wallpapers that he saw fit. Whoa! Needless to say there is nothing left to do here.

Did dannya have the authority to do this? Did he decide on it alone?

I have no idea where his maintainer privileges come from? I asked him once and he just answered with a rebuke. ? But from recent events I would say he is definitely beyond reproach. In fact I expect to be visited by two men dressed in black at any moment. hehehe hahaha lol ;)

Ah. One of THOSE kinds of maintainers. Nice to know that we're still giving commit bits to any thug who demands one.
