beta redesign

beta redesign

I thought a lot about a way to redesign the websites to make it easier to understand and use. The plan is to make the website layout as light as possible so that the actual content is in the focus and more visible.

Another goal was to introduce a real navigation where you can see what kind of functionality the websites provides and you see where you are, at the moment.

The current design is not finished yet. This is in beta stage, at the moment. I would like to hear feedback from you.
What do you like? What don´t you like?

Please post you comments here.

Thank you for your help.

Cheers
Frank

-------update-------

I fixed a few small bugs and transformed a few more websites to the new design. What do you think?

Clear & simple new layout really make's navigation better & more productive.
Pro :
- It's really faster than old layout
- I find easy to navigate
- layout's serving the content, which IMHO is a great point.

There sould be alternative, not as bright design (as manu dislike too bright pages).

Dunno why clicking on the zoom open a new window with *two* tabs: image and an empty one (konqueror / KDE 4.1.2)

As many users had been commenting, the artwork search bar would look more visible, intuitive and accessible if it were located just following the ARTWORK title (or something like that).

It is a little difficult to see even in my 1440x900 screen with no window borders occupying vertical space [...]

What do you think?
