Why you should check out the Intel MeeGo job offers

Company profile
For over 40 years Intel has been leading and bringing new technology to the marketplace. Now we are building on our historical strength in silicon innovation and global manufacturing capacity to create new products and technologies that help people live happier, more productive lives. When you work for Intel, you join a company where your career — and your life can benefit from long-term stability and continual growth. Intel lets you play a role in developing and supporting industry leading innovations while working with diverse people around the world.

Intel Does Software? You bet we do!
If Intel Software was a stand-alone company, we would be one of the largest companies in the world! We touch the global software community through tools, middleware, system software, open source, virtualisation, and graphics computing technologies. The Software and Services Group at Intel specialises in the difficult areas close to the hardware such as: tools, middleware, system software, performance and architecture. We ensure that all software and services run best on Intel products whether Intel builds it or someone else does.

We are looking for experienced software engineers and recent college graduates who would like to be part of a high performance organisation which is developing breakthrough products and redefining the way device software is done. Our positions offer a range of opportunities including architecture, design, development, and quality assurance.

Initially you will get the opportunity to work on MeeGo; MeeGo is an open source Linux project. MeeGo currently targets platforms such as netbooks/entry-level desktops, handheld computing and communications devices, in-vehicle infotainment devices, connected TVs, and media phones. All of these platforms have common user requirements in communications, application, and internet services in a portable or small form factor. The MeeGo project will continue to expand platform support as new features are incorporated and new form factors emerge in the market.

To read about our job opportunities and apply to them, please, visit www.intel.com/jobs and select Romania for location.

Intel is a company based on pragmatism. They are not where they are for their elegant hardware - but for their ability to make things and get them to work.

Nokia is also a company based on making mobile phones that work and work and work. They are Intel's partner in MeeGo. Buy an N900 and install MeeGo - plain vanilla Linux on a mobile phone that has most, like Ubuntu KDE...

Just get on with it!
