Unable to get OpenID work in Owncloud 5.0

Question:

Having hard time finding blog/forum to understand how to setup openID. Forums that i found, simply asks me to get to personal setting and find new fields related to openID after enabling the OpenID user backend, i enabled it and i do not see anything new under personal setting.

I am using ownCloud 5.0, Can someone help me setting this up.

Answer:

I had the same problem. I noticed request errors in the Apache log because OwnCloud was not in the webroot.

After configuring the webroot of the virtual host to be the OwnCloud directory, the OpenId option is available in the personal settings page.
